Re: Organization of hospital pharmacy with Clinical Pharmacists

Dear Panidis

In Brazil, Clinical Pharmacy is a service offered by the Pharmacy
Division in the hospital. This service is now starting to develop, but
is too far to achieve an excellence rather than U.S. hospital's. I
believe that this service is important to improve a medical care and
will aid people to make's a best use of medications. We have some
hospital that have some clinicians pharmacist as Instituto da Criança do
Hospital das Clinicas da Universidade de São Paulo (Child Institute of
Hospital of Clinics at Medical School of University of São Paulo),
Hospital Albert Einstein, University Hospital of University of São
Paulo, INCOR (Institute of Cardiology - FMUSP), and many other, but a
clinical pharmacy service don't work directly with a patient but with a
MD.
