it would be more appropriate to assume 8 will be equal to
8.0. the limit of detection is not specified by the customer.
also he is not going to be very happy with the test value at the outer
spec. limit.
options would be retest the sample, inform or request permission from the
consumer initialy before sending the sample as it is and/or take up a new
sample.
